• 1 x Tuff Terrain 30cm 50 amp Anderson style splitter lead with machine crimped silver plated copper terminals

• 30cm length minimises voltage drop

• 50A rating suits high draw gear

• Polycarbonate housings handle heat and impact

• Silver plated copper improves conductivity

• Machine crimped terminations reduce loose joins

• Colour coded leads simplify polarity checks

Tuff Terrain splitter lead takes one Anderson style feed and turns it into two outlets for camp and touring setups. Short 30cm run keeps voltage drop low when you power a fridge and charger from the same supply. Heat and impact resistant polycarbonate housings handle knocks in the ute tray or caravan tunnel boot. Silver plated copper terminals pass current clean across the contacts while you get out there.

Ten gauge cable supports 50A loads which suits typical 12 volt touring gear. Machine crimped joints hold every strand tight so you are not chasing loose lugs halfway through a trip. Red and black insulation keeps polarity checks simple before you plug in. Match red to red and black to black and the lead keeps your setup working the way it should.

• Suits 12V or 24V DC setups using 50A Anderson style connectors

• Fits automotive 4WD and caravan power circuits using matching 50A Anderson style plugs

• Lead connects one Anderson style connector to two Anderson style connectors in a splitter configuration

• Requires correct polarity connection with red positive to red positive and black negative to black negative

• Incorrect polarity connection risks damage to connected equipment and or fire

Q: Can I run two fridges from this splitter lead?

A: Yes, if their combined current stays within 50A.

Most 12V fridges draw far less than 50A even during compressor start up. The key limit is the total continuous and peak current across both outlets. Check each appliance data plate for current draw figures. Add these values and keep some headroom under the 50A rating.

Q: Is this lead suitable for solar blanket connections?

A: Yes, where the solar regulator and plugs use 50A Anderson style connectors.

Many portable solar kits terminate in grey 50A Anderson style plugs. This splitter lead connects one incoming feed to two circuits such as a regulator and an auxiliary input. Ensure the regulator current stays within the 50A rating. Always keep polarity matched from panel through to battery system.

Q: Can I use this splitter on a 24V truck system?

A: Yes, provided current remains under 50A and connectors match.

The Anderson style plug handles a wide DC voltage range while the current rating stays at 50A. Voltage mainly affects insulation and spacing, both covered by the connector design. Current controls heating in the contacts and cable. Stay under 50A and use correct cable protection.

Q: Does the lead need extra strain relief near the connectors?

A: Yes, cable support improves service life in mobile setups.

Securing the lead with cable ties or clamps takes weight off the connector housings. Reduced flex at the terminal entry point lowers the chance of conductor fatigue. A supported lead also stays clear of sharp edges. This practice suits utes, caravans and camper trailers.
